Product Description
I. Instrument Overview:
The high-voltage impulse tester is a standard lightning-wave test device conforming to the waveform specified in GB/T 17627.1 (equivalent to IEC 61180-1), with a wavefront time of 1.2 µs and a wavetail time of 50 µs. The instrument complies with national standards GB 19510.1-2009 (IEC 61347-1:2015, Annex P), GB 14048.1-2006, GB 14048.2-2008, GB 16916.1-2003, GB 16917.1-2003, GB 17627.1 (equivalent to IEC 61180-1), GB 14048.2, GB 17215.211-2006/IEC 62052-11:2003, and GB 4706.1-2005 (IEC 60335-1/A2:2016) “Safety Requirements for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances”—including the newly added requirements in Clauses 14, 19, and 29 of these standards. It is used to evaluate the ability of electronic ballasts and electronic components to withstand transient overvoltages, as well as to verify the electrical clearances and creepage distances of equipment. This equipment is essential for testing institutions and manufacturers in industries such as low-voltage electrical appliances, household appliances, electric energy meters, railway communications, and surge protection devices, and is also a mandatory requirement for obtaining 3C certification.
II. Main Features of the Instrument:
The instrument is easy to use, simple to operate, exhibits excellent repeatability, and requires no adjustment of the spark gap. The discharge switch, a key component, has a service life exceeding 300,000 operations. It is equipped with a digital pulse peak meter that offers high accuracy, allowing test results to be readily determined directly from the display. Within the specified range, the voltage can be adjusted continuously and arbitrarily.
III. Main Technical Parameters:
1. Wavefront time: 1.2 µs ±30% (as specified in the standard);
2. Half-peak time: 50 µs ±20% (as specified in the standard);
3. Polarity of the impulse: positive, negative;
4. Peak Voltage Range: 1 kV to 10 kV ±3%;
5. Instrument internal resistance: 12 Ω ±10% (as specified in the standard;
6. Pulse interval: 5 to 99 times;
7. Number of impacts: presettable from 1 to 99,999;
Data Interface: The instrument is equipped with a waveform monitoring port that allows connection to a Tektronix digital oscilloscope for waveform analysis (the digital oscilloscope must be provided by the customer).
