Residual Current Protective Device Action Characteristic Tester

The residual current action characteristic tester is suitable for AC residual current circuit breakers with overcurrent protection with a rated frequency of 50HZ or 60HZ, a rated voltage not exceeding 440V, and a rated current not exceeding 125A. It measures the residual operating current of AC type earth leakage protectors or AC trip units of earth leakage circuit breakers below a rated residual current of 500mA, and the tripping time under the rated residual current.

I. Product introduction:
  The residual current action characteristic tester is suitable for AC rated frequencies of 50HZ and 60HZ, rated voltages not exceeding 440V, and rated currents not exceeding 125A with residual current circuit breakers with overcurrent protection, measuring the AC tripping of AC type earth leakage protectors or earth leakage circuit breakers with rated residual currents below 500mA, and the tripping time under rated residual current.
 

II. Design basis:
  According to the national standard GB16917.1-2014 Residual current operated circuit-breakers with overcurrent protection for household and similar uses (RCBO) Part 1: General rules meet the requirements of clauses 9.9.1.2 a, b, and C (1) in GB16917.1 (AC type)
 

III. Test items: (At a reference temperature of 20℃±5℃) The temperature control box is provided by the user.
1. When the residual current increases, verify the correctness of the action: For AC type residual current circuit breakers, under rated voltage, the residual current starts to increase steadily from 0.2I△N, and the tripping current is measured.
2. Rated residual current, verify the breaking time: Under the rated current of the AC type residual current circuit breaker, simulate closing the circuit breaker and test the breaking time.
3. Sudden residual current, verify the breaking time: Under the rated current of the AC type residual current circuit breaker, simulate closing the circuit and test the breaking time.
 

IV. The test bench equipment includes four parts:
3.1. Test equipment control unit and interface unit;
3.2. Residual current test bench;
3.3. Circuit board test fixture;
3.4. Single-chip microcomputer control;
