Product Description

One 、Product Overview
The horizontal and vertical combustion tester is developed according to the standard GB-T2408-2008 and fully meets the technical requirements of the national standard GB/T2408. With a dedicated sample holder, it can be used to test both plastic horizontal combustion and vertical combustion methods on the same instrument, and automatically record the test time. Compared with similar instruments, it has the advantages of high degree of automation, accurate timing, and automatic display of test results.
This instrument specifies the determination of the burning rate, flaming combustion, and afterglow time of specimens placed horizontally and vertically after being ignited by a small flame source in the laboratory.
The product's cabinet shell is made of galvanized sheet cold-rolled electrostatic spraying, and is equipped with a transparent observation window, which automatically records the flame application, afterflame, and afterglow time. It has its own silent exhaust fan to safely discharge the test combustion gas; the horizontal and vertical combustion sample clamps are controlled by a motor, and the Bunsen burner automatically returns after the flame application is completed, reducing cumbersome manual operations.

Two. Precautions before ignition after the instrument is installed
1. The gas cylinder should be equipped with a medium-pressure pressure reducing valve, and the gas cylinder pressure reducing valve should be adjusted to half (screw all the way in halfway)
2. When using it for the first time, let it run for a while after connecting the gas to exhaust the air in the pipeline first.
3. When igniting for the first time, cover the air at the lower end of the spray gun with the upper knurled nut as soon as possible, and then adjust the blue flame after ignition.
4. The igniter needle is above the edge of the spray gun nozzle and within 5mm from the spray gun nozzle.
5. Do not hold down the ignition button for a long time, otherwise it will cause overload damage to the igniter. Each ignition time should not exceed 5 seconds.

Three. Scope of application and standards
Design standard: GB-T2408-2008 "Testing of burning characteristics of plastics - Horizontal method and vertical method"
Applicable standards: UL94-2006, GB-T5169, IEC60695-11-3, IEC60695-11-4, IEC60950-1, IEC695-2-2

Four. Instrument working conditions
1. Ambient temperature: -10℃~30℃
2. Relative humidity: ≤85%
3. Power supply voltage and power: 220V±10% 50HZ Power 150W

Five. Technical parameters
1. Burner: Inner diameter Φ9.5mm+0.3mm single gas and inner diameter Φ9.5mm±0.5mm Bunsen burner.
2. The Bunsen burner has an air adjustment nut to adjust the blue flame height.
3. Bunsen burner flame application time: any setting.
4. Burner test inclination angle: 0~45° adjustable, can be fixed every 5° between 0~45° and switched back and forth.
5. Flame height: 20mm+2mm to 100mm+10mm adjustable.
6. The Bunsen burner quickly moves to the sample end through the motor. The Bunsen burner automatically returns after the flame application is completed.
7. Bunsen burner flame application time: 0~999.9S+0.1s adjustable, any setting within the range, flame adjustment 20mm.
8. Afterflame time: 0~999.9S+0.1s adjustable, the instrument automatically records, manually pauses.
9. Afterglow time: 0~999.9S+0.1s adjustable, the instrument automatically records, manually pauses.
10. The test gas source uses 98% methane, gas or liquefied petroleum gas
11. Methane flow rate is adjustable from 16ml/min-160ml/min.
12. The gas pipeline is equipped with an electronic switch. After the test is completed, click the reset switch on the panel to cut off the gas source. The Bunsen burner goes out automatically.
13. The up and down and left and right strokes of the sample rack are greater than 300mm. Cabinet material: steel plate electrostatic spraying.
14. An exhaust fan is installed on the top of the test box, which can exhaust toxic substances after the test is completed.
15. The test process is automatically controlled with independent ventilation.
16. Equipment external dimensions: width 1150mm × depth 600mm × height 1340 (including feet) mm.
17. Combustion test area volume: >0.5 cubic meters, length*width*height approximately 900mm×590mm×1050mm, black background, background illuminance ≤20Lux.
18. Gas leak alarm device (optional)
19. Flame calibration device (optional)
